I am very sorry that you feel like you had a terrible experience with Pilgrim Storage Center. We do strive to accommodate our tenants to the best of our ability. And we are as polite and courteous as possible. The issue was not that the unit was filthy, and rats were everywhere. We clean all of our units as soon as a tenant moves out so it will be ready for the next tenant to move in. As for rats, we have poison out on the property in boxes to keep control of that issue. No one wants their property damaged due to any cause. I do believe the main issue with this review is that you and your wife were living in the unit. I understand that we all fall on hard times. But it is illegal to live in a storage unit. I allowed you 24-hour access to the unit because you claimed that you were working and trying to move to Florida and would be coming in late. You were smoking in the unit, changed the light fixture so you could have extra outlets for your fans. I have a pic of the light fixture. Which I had to pay someone to rewire. There were several ice chests in the unit, and YOU left a contractor size trash bag in the unit full of rotten food.
