Citizen Storage Fenton South

I rented a climate controlled unit at Citizen storage in Fenton and I wish I had gone anywhere else. I chose them because I needed a climate controlled unit and they were the only location in the area with one available. I now know why. When I first moved in, everything seemed fine. The grounds were a little rough, but they had just purchased the location. The unit appeared to be in good shape and Kenn in the office was very helpful with the paperwork. As time went on I started to notice the imperfections. There were many times that I went to the unit and could not tell a difference between the outside and the inside, even in the winter time. Towards the end, the building started to smell musty and feel damp. When I finally moved out, I found water in my unit, mouse droppings and bugs, both dead and alive. I talked to the lady that was working the office that day and though she could sympathize with my situation, all she could do was follow the process and hand me a pamphlet for the insurance company. Luckily, I made the decision early on to place the majority of my belongings in tubs, so I didn't lose a lot, but what I did lose was substantial. I sent an email to location directly a couple of weeks ago explaining the situation and they have not responded. To sum up, if you are looking for a storage unit, stay away from this one.

Kenn was super helpful and always available for the needs and was able to set things up smoothly with no delay or extra charge! He is super!

We recently moved from a large unit to a mid-size. Both Ken and Alex were very helpful and accommodating to our particular needs. I really appreciated the help they gave us. I highly recommend this facility.
