I'm very happy with my experience here! The process of renting was very streamlined. We were headed that way with a Uhaul before I started the rental process (not very smart to wait until the last minute but couldn't be helped). I filled out the information online and when I got there 15min later I was greeted by a very kind and friendly person. He had our key ready (even cut open the plastic pack for us, we all know how annoying those are) and a handy wallet card with all needed information. The unit was clean, ready and easily accessed. Best of all, the price was half of every option we had in Decatur. Great job! 😊

I have called several Extra Space Storage locations and decided this location would be perfect for our needs as it had plenty of space in its open lot. I stopped in with the intent of securing space to park our RV, however, the door was locked (no signage indicating when someone would be available to assist). A few moments later someone hurriedly pulled in the driveway and said “how am I supposed to get in the driveway when you’re in it?”, I was disappointed to find out that person was the Extra Space Storage employee responsible for this location. Once inside the office I was told that she did not have space for our RV though the uncovered space designated for large vehicle parking was less than half full. I asked if the empty spaces were reserved she dismissively looked at me and simply said “no”. I then asked if we could make the circle around the building to leave since this location is on a 2-lane street and we were towing a 27 foot RV, the attendant told us to back out of the driveway onto the street justifying her statement by saying that 18-wheelers do it all the time. To say that this experience was disappointing is an understatement as everyone I spoke to previously at the Martin Rd location was not only pleasant but knowledgeable. As a result of this experience we decided not to trust our valuables with Extra Space Storage.
