Purely Storage - Atwater - East Bellevue Rd

I’m not sure what online updates need to be done to say (NO 24 hour access) more clearly, not have symbols to represent availability. The location on Bellevue and Santa Fe is where I rented (wasn’t a pleasant experience). I was in my unit less than 24hrs and was told if I stay after 10pm I would be charged a little over $100. I thought it was a 24 access location. So I tried to see if I can get reimbursed since I was there less than a day. The manager Jarrod (at this location), is i’m sure a nice guy, but I spent more time trying to prove to him that this storage unit showed up as a 24 hour access on my browser search (instead of dealing properly with the situation). Even with this very unpleasant experience dealing with Jarrod, I do have to say there is an employee on staff that was very professional and helpful. His name is Jesus Placencia,( it was almost closing time and I was driving from the bay area) he helped get situated (he took the time to work with me, and my situation). He also helped me have a peace of mind that everything would be handled properly when it came to moving out and he did do everything properly. I hope there can be some changes for improvement in managing this location and online promoting. I really do appreciate people like Jesus who think about the customer experience.

Unacceptable Service and Practices On 9/21/25, I was locked inside the facility with my children after hours with no after-hours number to call for emergencies. I did call the office and leave messages with no reply. This is a severe safety and security risk. Then making matters worse, being locked in and not able to leave so I was then charged a trespassing and threatened with eviction and told I had to pay the fee immediately to continue my storage and access my belongings. This is an unethical and predatory practice. The employee, Jarrod, was incredibly rude, making rude comments snarking and completely unprofessional throughout the entire interaction. His hostile attitude only made a terrible situation worse. The lack of a clear emergency policy, combined with a total disregard for customer safety and basic decency, makes this an unacceptable place to do business. I advise anyone considering this company to look elsewhere.

To whom it may concern I would just like to take the time out and give a person on your staff a long over due compliment I've been so busy and haven't had the time to to write this review, however I want to say Jarrod for president!!!! His customer service is exceptional,outstanding,spectacular and in my opinion he need a raise and a promotion,,to all future customers I personally would recommend that you ask for Jarrod to work with he will go above and beyond for you,, and he is so professional trust me you will be very pleased with how he handle you as a customer he is a wondeful and great asset to this company

If you are not out of the facility by 10pm they will lock you in and have no one on site to let you out until morning. Also they will not answer their own emergency line. Unlike other storages that will let you use your code to exit late these people will not was forced to release the gate manually to leave. My suggestion is bring tools if you are going to be there past 10pm. I tried leaving at 10:05 pm and got locked in.
