A prime example of corporate execs completely disconnected from employee and customer experience and safety! I used to LOVE this place; the staff are super friendly and responsive (they still are), it was clean, I felt safe (it's located in a very dodgy area), price competitive (but you need to beware and fight for sustainable increases when contracts need to be renewed). I was able to overlook the difficult driveway and parking situation because of these positives. THEN corporate decided to renovate with no explanation nor discussion with employees, no notices for customers and it's been a cluster ever since. Parking spaces have decreased, walls have gone up, there is NO visibility for staff, and for customers to see staff and connect, leaving the space wide open for anyone to come in, and now difficult to park and find carts. I feel less safe. It is significantly less convenient, less friendly, less clean. From what I've been told, NOT ONE exec stepped foot at this location to assess the impact of these changes. I feel so badly for staff who are relegated to an office that is a metal container during construction and will be moving to an enclosed office cutoff from what's going on outside. (I understand a lot more cameras are going in but that does nothing for actual human connection.) They are doing their best but their employer is doing them and their customers a huge disservice. I'd think hard about renting a space from this location with these changes and this kind of corporate insensitivity and disregard. It's just not as convenient, safe, or friendly anymore.

The staff here are so amazing. Corporate has started this absolutely stupid construction job where they have created a box their staff can’t see or regulate a neighborhood known known for crazy/unsafe people. Parking has been cut by 30%. So add extra time to try to fit your vehicle (almost impossible with my pickup). Go somewhere else. I’ve been here for years, and can’t believe how dumb this construction is. Again, the staff are incredible.

What an amazingly positive customer experience! Maile and Dean were so helpful, friendly, professional, and patient with me as a first-timer at their facility. They tirelessly answered my many questions, with smiles and understanding. They made the whole process far easier than I expected. The facility was so very clean. I trust this place with my items. Parking was so easy, and conveniently located onsite as well. I wish all my customer experiences were like this one! Well done, Maile and team!!

Letty (Extra Space Storage Otis Street) went out of her way to help me move some of my stuff when I had an urgent need for it. She listened carefully to my situation and resolved it immediately. She was very empathetic, friendly and professional. I truly appreciate her willingness and patience to help. Kudos to Extra Space Storage for having her among their staff.
