I have rented a unit at this storage facility for a few years, the previous owners randomly raised the rent, every few months, from the introductory rate to, eventually, about 50% more than when I started. I checked around and found that it had reached what most the other places were charging, so I stayed. Public Storage bought the facility and kept everything the same for a while. This week I was informed of an increase and Tammy was able to lock me in at my current rate for several more months, which is awesome! I will be moving in the next year and will end my rental then, but it is nice to know my expenses will remain stable. Thank you Tammy for working with me and explaining the situation.
Company shut off my autopay wihout my knowledge. Got call from Tammy, came in to the office, Public storage charged $132 in late fees for 3 units. Tammy refused to wave late fees. Business model is simple - SCREW YOUR CONSUMER HARDER AND HARDER during hard times. Would not recommend this storage place to anyone!! After this review was posted, got a call from Tammy, she went in and refunded all late fees, and asked to remove this review. Tammy gets 5 stars for trying harder. Thank you TAMMY!!!
They weren't able to help me this time but everybody was very professional and efficient. I will definitely hit these guys up if I'm in need of a truck or a rental car in the near future.
I have been a tenant since extra space and the change over has been nothing but problems. They want you to come to them for paper work and all that but there hasnt been a person you can talk to, the office has been closed for renovation that were not needed and add zero value to me. Being able to access my storage is what i value. Talking to a person when there is a problem is what i value. Its thanksgiving and i was hoping to get some things and go out of town for the weekend but it seems they told the computer that not only is the office closed, but gate access is closed. Or they want me to pay extra. Id say horrible people if there was actual a person here running it, but there doesnt seem to be.
Needed to resolve an issue connected to a different location, and was told that I could come into any Public Storage location in the country to sign some paperwork. I tried calling this location (the closest one to me) in advance to confirm that someone would be here, but the automated phone system would only route me to the other location in a different state. I came during business hours and waited for half an hour, but no one ever showed up in the office. The door is locked (in spite of a sign that says “This door to remain open during business hours”), and while the light is on, it doesn’t look like anyone has been in the office in the past hour or possibly longer. It’s ridiculous that this company doesn’t provide adequate customer service, and now I’m wondering if I am going to have to fly halfway across the country to sign a piece of paper. I will never do business again in the future with any Public Storage locations. This has been such a nightmare, with no end in sight.
