It has a great location, the best price and service. Samantha is amazing, I wish every establishment had an employee like Samantha. She solves problems quickly and effectively. She is very attentive and friendly, a responsible person and pays attention to every detail. Thank you.
I was going to give this place 5 stars because of an associate named Paul. He was the only guy there who was helpful in any way, and he was actually there at the site, filling in for the regular site manager who, no matter what she says, is hardly ever on site. But I’m not going to give the impression that this is a great place to store your stuff, just because they have one good employee.
The regular site manager is hardly ever around. I went to my storage about ten times, in the last three weeks, and only saw the regular manager twice. When I did see her she was nothing but rude.
My storage unit is at 1625 Semoran(rte 436), Winter Park, Fl.
First of all they gave me a lock that would not fit into the latch. Then by the time that I returned it, Paul said that it was too late to get a refund. So I made them give me back the lock with an adapter, so it could be used. They should have given me the adapter in the first place.
Second, my unit had a huge portion of the wall on one side of the unit totally missing. You could easily use a ladder, and enter the adjacent unit.The adjacent unit could do the same, and enter my unit.
I ran into Paul, and showed him the wall. He arranged to have it repaired. Like I said, he was the only person who was of any help. I asked him to tell the site manager to call me when the repair was being done, because I wanted to be there. I had to leave my key with Paul, and was not comfortable with someone working on my unit, and me not being there. Of course, as usual, the rude site manager never called. I went on my own and ran into the guy repairing my unit, who was basically rebuilding the wall, with the gaping hole. Then lo and behold, I see an unusual thing, the site manager was actually walking around and in a hurry to get to wherever she goes to hide from her responsibilities. I caught her and said that she was supposed to call me when the repair was being done. She said that they don’t want the customers in the way!
Third, the main gate was broken, not functioning, and wide open, in the first week that I was there. Two weeks later, there is still no functioning gate.
Fourth, you will never get a human being to answer the phone, and the manager never answers, and either won’t return your call that you leave on voicemail, or gets back to you days later.
If you use their chat, online, , it is just automated, gives you few choices, and you just go around and around in an endless loop. Never will you get anyone to talk to you.
I am also concerned about numerous reviews stating that your rent will be raised every two or three months. There are people posting, who say their rent has been increased by 50 or 100 percent or more, in a very short time.
This is the first time that I have ever rented storage space. I hope that all storage companies do not operate the way that Public Storage does.
I plan on not renting storage for too long, it would be such a hassle to move all my stuff to some other place. If my plans, require me to rent space for a long period, I’ll have no choice, but to find another place.
If you are looking to rent storage space, find a place, that has someone on site, who answers the phone and will talk to you.
Excellent location, safe, clean, and with well-trained staff. Especially Samantha, she is very attentive, efficient, and solves problems easily and quickly. I just moved to a larger unit, and it's very clean and well-maintained. I recommend it.
