I’m moving in a few weeks and stoped by here the other day to get prices and I had the pleasure of talking with Carla. She was so friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable. She was just awesome all the way around. Definitely will be going here. 140 Emma Lane Woodstock

Don’t go here unless you want to ruin all your belongings. I can’t speak for all of Public storage locations, but this specific location in Woodstock is poorly run and rude. I picked this place since I needed to store all my belongings as I went to train for a new job for 4 months out of state. A big storm last March led to water damage on an outside unit. As you walk you’ll notice how some outside units have weather strips and some don’t. Mine unfortunately didn’t. The company took no accountability- and the insurance you have to buy is garbage. Unless you have a receipt for every single thing so they can appraise- there is no protection. And if you do- they deem if that’s the actual value. Now I understand that’s how insurance works, and how it’s not Public Storage’s company that made those rules. But for you to rent me a unit you knew is faulty, and have no accountability is crazy. Their old district manager offered an inside unit for anything salvageable, and even hinted how online offers better prices. I switched to inside since it would be temperature controlled and I was out of state. I didn’t have much choice. Threw out everything damp, repacked what little was salvage and moved. Yeah- that one’s on me. But can anyone explain why there is mice and a black widow infestation. Or how about how inside made no difference and the unit has mold inside too. You see it grow all over the ceiling. I came back from training with my boyfriend to move things and the female manager that works on site saw me breaking down and even when I asked about the issues, took no accountability. Just said- we’ll credit your unit 25 bucks. I lost everything but hey- that 25 really came in clutch🙄 Cut to I had to rent a truck to take what I had to the dump. I asked their new DM if there was anyway they could help get rid of somethings, like if I rented for a few months could I dispose of things in their dumpster. His response- we only clear units that aren’t paid, and you are, there isn’t anything I can do. As I spent a good month disposing of everything dealing with the feelings- I got to see so many people go to their units, walls covered in mold. Both inside units and outside. Place is a joke. Why pay someone to live on site when the company doesn’t do anything to protect the customers.

I had a great experience at Public Storage thanks to Kawanda! She was incredibly helpful, friendly, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Kawanda took the time to answer all my questions and made sure I felt comfortable with everything. Her positive attitude and professionalism really stood out. Thank you, Kawanda, for your excellent service — you made a big difference!

Stop by this public storage inquiry about a storage unit . Carla was in the office and she assisted me. She was very helpful and knowledgeable about pricing and what it takes to get a 5x10 unit. I definitely will be getting a 5x10 unit next week. A+++++++++++ customer service Update: went back to public storage and got a storage unit. Once again Carla was in the office and was so pleasant and very knowledgeable about the rate I would be paying. 5 stars for Carla!!!

Well I have no problems with the location of or the on-site manager, I do have problems with their corporate policies. My first beef is hell. I have to pay with a cashier's check , Long story but I'm not getting into that right now, I've been at this facility for 15 months at this point and just found out that their rent is going up $20. So basically a 37% increase in 15 months and I'm already unhappy with how I have to pay. That gets followed with a oh. If you want 24-hour access that'll be another $20. Yeah that one really pisses me off because I don't see where there's going to be any increased time or overhead or anything else. It means the gate opens and you're allowed in and that gate clothes and you're allowed out. In fact, if I had known in the beginning that this wasn't a 24-hour place, I probably would have not put my stuff here at all. So literallSo literally if I want 24-hour access for the course 12 months I've gone from $88 to what would be $141 or so. The leap with the $20 additional storage fee already brings it up to 37% more than what I originally signed up for and if I wanted 24 access it would be much more than that. And yes, I think they count on people being too lazy to move when they do this kind of hike. I mean it's not a $5 hike or a $10 hike. Get the $20 hike per month. An extra $240 a year from them and we're not getting additional benefit from the place. Hopefully this will be my last month there and I hope corporate sees this.
