I just rented a unit on perdido. The manager ms.ashley was very helpful and patient with me. She walked me through my new unit which was very clean and well placed in the facility. She help me set up my new access code and my app on my phone. Truly thank you 😊

DO NOT STORE YOUR STUFF HERE. While my lock was secure, someone popped the hardware on the door the lock was secured to out and stole everything from me. My valuables and deeply sentimental items are gone, and extra space storage does not care. I was handed a pamphlet for insurance that covers up to 2k and told they would file a police report but they won't share any of that information with me. I guess I also just have to eat the cost I paid to store my items that were stolen for months as well, no refund is offered. They did not seem shocked or surprised, and I suspect this happens often. If you care about what you're storing do not use extra space, it is not safe or secure. I learned a really hard lesson and lost things money can't buy back, please learn from me and avoid at all cost.

I have a few concerns. I was just notified that there will be a rate increase. I would be okay with this if it was used to purchase more carts. I have been a customer of Extra Storage in other cities and have never had to supply my own carts. There are a total of 2 of them for the entire facility. I have been told that some are on order back in November but here we are in February and there are still only 2 carts which are always in use by other tenants or left on other floors. In addition, I believe the place should have a security guard there during evening hours. I have been in there where it looks like people are living in their units, or there is a party going on. In one instance someone came in and stated there stuff was missing. In the parking lot usually there is someone sketchy yelling, drunk or bothering people for money. I have worried about being in there alone and being pushed into my unit and harmed and have taken to arming myself. Please do something about your security and cart situation .
