There really isn't enough I called to. Rent a small unit near me and told that there were units available in my town Therefore, I paid by phone 1st month was free. But I was charged $18 protection plan and a 29 dollarollar and some change fee.I'm not sure what that was for. altogether total was $49.07. Whenever I went to enterprise drive in my town, I found out there were no storage units there. Like, I was told, and therefore I called prime storage back and explain what happened.And they were supposed to cancel my unit and said they would give me a refund. A couple days passed.I didn't receive my refund and called back and talk to a different person at did.Cancel my unit, but wasn't sure about the refund and ask me to call back in a few days if I heard nothing. I just called back and was told, I cannot get a refund because the first month was free, I never went to the unit because it's too far. I live week to week so the nearly fifty dollar in fees i paid for, is a significant impact financially for me. So I'm paying a protection plan of 18 dollars and a $29 fee for a unit. I never touched.I never set eyes on and was initially told it would be refunded. Is very upsetting that companies can do these things?And it be legal.

Checking in and out was very easy. Clean simple. The reason I am giving three stars is without notice once we were two years into our contract. I got an email that the rate was being doubled. We went from $50 a month to close to $100 a month without any explanation. We did fight it and eventually got the right back down to the contracted rate. But it just seemed sneaky and off putting. I understand the contracted states that at any time they can change the monthly rate but when you have a student population and the reason we are using Storage is because we live seven hours away it makes it near impossible to just show up and take everything out of storage and move it nor is it reasonable. After talking with management, we were able to get the rate back down to the contracted rate but it just shouldn't have happened in the first place. It felt like a money grab and taking advantage of college students.

I’m not very happy with the experience. I was told that I would be purchasing the unit that’s closest to the university, that distance was supposedly 1 mile from Penn State. After pulling up the map, it turns out that it’s 5 miles from Penn State. The original unit was supposedly only 3 miles from Penn State so I’m not sure how I ended up with a unit that’s over twice the distance - huge inconvenience. I called to question this and the young man that answered the phone hung up on me …not good!
