Better under previous owner/managment. Issues with being able to make payments, immediate increase when they took over, strange people doing maintenance on the doors, blocking entry and exits. Felt very unsafe. I pay extra for a small unit because it’s supposed to be climate controlled. Went by the other day and it was freezing inside. I do have temperature sensitive items in my unit. Current Pricing is Ludicrous Also, I was not notified my rent due date was changed. They changed it and didn’t not notify me in any form. I was not given 30 day notice of *either* of the increases in rent, and I certainly was not notified of climate control being discounted. I am moving down the street to pay literally half this fee for a larger space. :::Poor communication and price hiking feels like a business that lies when you’re their customer.
I went to this place recently to get a unit and let me tell you.. the young lady up there was very helpful. I was so lost in what I needed to do and she explained everything. I left with more confidence and knowledge about moving! The lobby smelled amazing and the place is well kept up. I don't do many Storage units I'm more of the move-in one type of day kind of gal but this young lady, the cleanness, and the mindful words made me have a change of my! I will be back!
I wish I could give them no stars these people rip me off for 31.00 dollars when im sure they have millions of dollars ..the property manager left before 530 when she saw the corporate office calling to let me in because they gave me a bogus entrance code ..someone let in the gate and I end up stuck inside thank God this lady let us out I called that corporate number at least 10 times only to be told the same thing we will tell the district manager but it's nothing I can do ..then I told them I had to take the uhaul back by 7 but did you think they cared I sat out there from 4 to 8 waiting for corporate to help me they kept saying I needed to sign a contract but the contract i was sent did not have no where for me to sign and send it back ..finally I ask for a refund only to be told it will have to happen Monday I went to the property manager for my refund only to be told the district manager have to do it its now tues no word from nobody please please stay from this place the lady who let me out said my place just had purchase that place and she was already having problems ..go to uhaul they are excellent in Greenville sc
They apparently were purchased and after having auto bill pay in place for years it did not carryover. Next thing I know I get a bill with an unreasonable late fee…due to their changes and lack of communication. I have been trying to reach them via phone for 2 days and get sent in circles. The manager won’t answer the phone. Do not use this place for your storage! Update: MyPlace responded to this review publicly and asked me to email them. I emailed them as requested and a week later they have yet to reply to that email. Publicly they want to appear concerned with customer service while in reality customer service is non-existent.
Pelham self storage was great. my place self storage, not so great. it's dirty and I've had nothing but trouble paying my bill ever since the change of ownership. I'm not happy.
