I absolutely love Extra Space Storage! The facilities are clean and nice (has a restroom too!), and the indoor facility for climate-controlled storage has rolling carts to use for customers! I was worried about muscling things up even on my dolly, which isn't the greatest. Chris is such a great guy to work with too. He will make sure you get the best deal and the right size storage to meet your needs. Indoor storage includes 9-foot tall units. 3rd floor can be stacked a little higher, but give yourself at least two feet of headspace for air flow to make the most of the climate-controlled aspect of the unit. I always feel comfortable with Extra Space Storage no matter where I'm at, but Hardin Valley's location is ideal. Best part? No flood zone! Should also not discredit the security of the facility and the fact that there are two indoor access points on each side of the building with elevator for customers with indoor climate-controlled units. As long as the gate hours are open, you can access your unit!

Chris was very pleasant and helpful. He showed us multiple units and was able to get us a better deal on the one we wanted! He also took the time to answer all of our questions and go over any paperwork with us. He made the whole experience very easy and stress free!

Chris and Mike were exceptional. We had 6 indoor storage units at one time while building our new home. They were always very helpful and worked on getting my wife and I the best deal they had going at the various times we needed additional units. The storage facility was well kept and very clean. I would highly recommend the facility and the Professional Team at the Hardin Valley Rd location in Knoxville TN.

I rented a smaller unit at Extra Space Storage in Hardin Valley for the last 7 months, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The process was simple, and the facility is super clean, secure, and easy to access. Chris, the store manager, was awesome — incredibly helpful during both move-in and move-out. He’s professional, friendly, and always greets you with a smile. It’s rare to get that kind of service these days! I also really liked the mobile app — super convenient for accessing the gate and building. The secure elevator access (limited to your floor) made me feel confident that my stuff was safe. Everything was in great working order, and I had no issues the entire time. The access hours were convenient, and the location is close to home, which made it even better. Thanks again to Chris Bailey and the team — I’ll definitely use this location again for any future storage needs! Matt Lois

Completed my need for the storage unit and processed the move-out steps. I must admit it was a smooth online process. Appreciate the use of the unit as well as the ease of entry, exit, and setup all completed online. My one big complaint is the special lock and key process. Extra Space Storage uses or requires the purchase of their lock and key. The cost of this is included in the initial agreement. Once you close the contract they do not buy the lock back so the customer is left with a $20 lock unusable on anything else. That just doesn't sit well with me as the customer. A monopoly they use to their advantage and cost wasted. If or when I need another storage unit, highly doubt I'll select Extra Space Storage.l, just not customer oriented.
