Wanted to pay a BIG COMPLIMENT to *Annie* who helped me to get my rental setup this morning. In getting ready to move, there are so many stressors and finding the right rental company and space was a huge one for me- Annie immediately made me feel at-ease and supported with her cheerful demeanor and personality, how she shared information with me succinctly and made recommendations I would have missed on my own. She made a point to ensure I understood everything correctly and that all my questions were answered. I wish everyone that I will have to deal with in my moving process could be like Annie- she made me immediately feel like a real person and that my rental was being set up to my needs, with the best rate, and that I was in great hands with Extra Space Storage. Please ensure that this thank you gets to her supervisor- they need to know what a true rock star they have on their team.

The staff at this location are very pleasant and helpful and that gets both my stars. The facilities are very clean and easy to use. My issue is with the company’s surprise billing: my rate was raised over 50% in one month with zero notice, and of course they auto-drafted it. They have no problem calling me, texting me and emailing me for everything else… but apparently providing even a heads-up BEFORE a major rate jump is simply too much to ask. I’m finding another storage company immediately. If you like friendly staff, clean facilities, and terrible billing practices…. Extra Space Storage is for you!

The climate control is about the only thing positive I can say about this place. Beyond that it was infested with rats and/or mice (I could never determine which one - maybe both). To their defense, it is hard to control for this; however, when we went to retrieve many of our stored items they were ruined by the droppings of these rodents. Everything smelled terrible and Extra Space Storage took no accountability, instead telling us we needed to buy insurance for this type of situation. There are many other storage facilities in Austin. I would seek out a different one until they get this problem well under control. See my pictures for proof.

Property manager was most helpful. He was thorough and took time to make sure I was comfortable with the new storage unit, the procedures and how to get further help should that need arise. I felt in really good hands with James and ExtraSpace.

We have a storage unit here and have upgraded to a bigger unit. Jakai the manager was helpful and personable. He is easy to work with. Our bill was raised by a significant amount without our knowledge so we had a surprise balance due after several months. He helped get that reduced and we stayed at ExtraSpace instead of moving.
