The on premises management team is great, but the corporate side is shady to say the least. They snail mail you significant rate increases every few months to meet their obligation to notify before hitting you with an 80% increase. Again, the onsite management team is great, but I’m thrilled to be rid of this storage unit. Had they not been so greedy at the corporate level, I would’ve stayed a customer.

Gus at Extra Space Storage was absolutely fantastic. He was friendly, professional, and took the time to explain all of my options clearly. The process was quick and stress-free, and he made sure I got the right unit for my needs without any pressure. The facility was clean, well-maintained, and secure. Gus’s customer service truly stood out and made a big difference. I highly recommend asking for him if you’re looking for storage—great experience overall!

Gus, is such caring employee and it also reflects on the cleanliness of the property. Each time I see him around the storage units I make it a point to talk to him as his personality is unbelievable. If he ever left the storage facility for other employment I would pull all of my stuff out of extra space storage. Gus is a very valuable employee.

Update below!!SCAM ALERT!!!! SECURITY ISSUES!!! 1. When I signed up, I was drawn in by your internet special, paying $153/month as of October 2024. Since then, my rate has increased three times in less than a year — first to $233/month in November 2024, and now to $297/month as of August 2025. 2. Unauthorized Access and Property Damage At one point, contractors entered my unit without any notification or consent. They tore down the back wall of the unit, entered my space, and rebuilt the wall, leaving dried grout and debris scattered across my belongings. I didn't find this out until I walked in my unit. When I reported this to the office, I was told it was “impossible” anyone accessed my unit — until the contractor, still on site, confirmed exactly what happened. The office had no clue what the contractor was even doing. It took me seven months, 42 phone calls, and constant follow-ups before this issue was finally addressed. The delay and lack of accountability were unacceptable. Their plan was clearly to make it impossible to reach anyone and then hope you give up. 3. Recurring Flooding & Lack of Transparency My unit has flooded multiple times, especially during heavy rain. Yet unless customers pay for additional flood insurance, the facility offers no assistance or responsibility — even though it’s clearly a known and recurring issue. Renting out units that repeatedly flood, without warning tenants or addressing the drainage problem, is highly negligent. Extra Space has demonstrated a pattern of disregard for customer safety, property security, and constant price increases. Update! Their store manager GUS was not happy that I made this public. You could hear it in his voice just how happy with himself to let me know that my actions had got me kicked out. He was giddy with excitement for this moment in his career. Extra space storage is making me move because I went public with this. So please just remember this before doing business with Gus or Extra Space Storage, they can enter your unit without notifying anyone, they can damage your personal belongings without any accountability, they can move all of your items then make you move it all back, they knowingly rent out units that flood, their store manager has the power to have you removed if you hurt his feelings, they will raise your prices every six month, and if you dare say anything online you are gone. Don’t be a me and learn from my mistake.
