I want you to realize that you have a superstar within your organization. I want to personally recognize your Virginia Beach store manager Amber. She reached out to me to advise me that the area my storage unit was affected from the previous night thunderstorm flooding. She immediately advise me of her plan and assistance offered. Her character was paramount in the form of her demeanor, calmness, deceivesnesss was monumental throughout this entire ordeal. She was very helpful with relocating me to another unit, offering packing material. I observed her coordinating her crew that help me with transporting my personal effects to my new unit. The crew was exceptionally outstanding and very efficient. In addition, I observed her multi tasking her crew and coordinating the dumpster drivers and dumpsters placement and removal. I want to publicly recognize Amber, the manager at the CubeSmart on Holland Road, because her leadership, compassion, and consistency over the years deserve to be acknowledged. My experience with Amber began at the start of the pandemic, during a storm, when everything already felt uncertain. That first interaction was quick, clear, and reassuring — and it set the tone for everything that followed. At the time, I placed items in an outdoor unit, but as circumstances changed, Amber helped me transition into an indoor, climate-controlled unit to properly protect my belongings. Later, after experiencing a death in my family, I suddenly found myself responsible for storing many of my loved one’s possessions. Once again, Amber stepped in — ensuring I had the right size unit, at a price that was affordable, and that everything important to me was protected. More than that, she showed genuine compassion during a very painful time. She didn’t rush me. She didn’t treat it like a transaction. She showed humanity. What makes this even more meaningful is the long-term context. I am the caregiver of a medically fragile adult child who has been in and out of the hospital over the years. During some of the most overwhelming seasons of my life, Amber has consistently helped me stay organized, grounded, and supported. Not once — but repeatedly, over time. Always with professionalism. Always with kindness. Always without making me feel like a burden. Everything another customer has said about Amber is true — her calm demeanor, decisiveness, proactive communication, and ability to lead under pressure. But beyond that, this is simply who she is. Her care is consistent. Her character is real. Her leadership is steady, even when life is not. Amber goes far beyond what is required of her role. She leads with integrity, empathy, and competence — and that combination is rare. During some of the hardest moments of my life, she truly was a Godsend.
